An excellent product at a reasonable price. I have played with this quadcopter for several days and it flies well and the video is good and I can easily recommend this for people new to this hobby. It is clear that if you become enamored of this hobby you will end up wanting something with real time video and perhaps a heavier duty copter but for starting out the syma x5c is a good starting unit. I never used the blade guards and have had no trouble flying the unit nor importing the video on my MacBook Pro as QuickTime auto converts the .avi files the camera records on the tiny flash drive. The Manual is amusing at best with the broken English that is more confusing than clarifying leaving you to just figure it out. The flight time is quite short so I highly recommend additional batteries. It comes with a spare set of propeller blades so don't bother getting an extra set of those. - Customer Reviews
